Revert ozone gas to oxygen

Purfresh’s ozone destruct OD-900 series is a catalytic converter that causes ozone gas to revert back to oxygen. The OD-900 is manufactured in stainless steel. It is designed to handle up to 30 cubic feet per minute of air and ozone at an ozone concentration up to 10%. A heater in the destruct raises the temperature of the gas stream to prevent condensation within the catalyst. The reaction time is only one-fifth the reaction time needed for thermal destruction and power requirements are minimal.

DESCRIPTION
Gas enters the bottom of the destruct unit, passes through a mist separator, past the heating element and then through the catalyst. The catalyst is held in place by mesh screens at the top and bottom.

The inlet and outlet fittings are triclamp or FNPT. The unit is mounted vertically to a wall, using standard unistrut hardware, and requires a minimum of 1” clearance. The destruct may also be mounted directly on top of a tank.

The destruct includes a 110/220 VAC heater and an electrical junction box for conduit and wiring connections. The heater operates continuously and the maximum skin temperature of the destruct unit can reach 150°F depending on ambient temperature and the flow through the unit.

The OD-900 series is available in two standard sizes:
Models 923 and 926.
