Robert Hayes
President and
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Robert Hayes joined Purfresh in 2009, bringing with him 25 years of engineering, operations and manufacturing experience. Mr. Hayes specializes in bringing new technologies to market with low cost, highly reliable products. While holding senior level positions for both privately and publicly held companies, Mr. Hayes has built strong engineering teams for the development of hardware and software products for the medical and investor-owned utility industries.
Before Purfresh, Mr. Hayes was president and CEO of Veraloft, a city-wide wireless provider. Prior to that he held senior management positions for Chroma Medical Systems, CellNet Data Systems and Everex Systems. He holds a masters degree and a bachelors degree in civil engineering from Rice University.
While at Purfresh, Mr. Hayes led the development of Purfresh's latest transport unit which is able to minimize decay, control ripening, and enhance food safety while providing real-time information on cargo status and which allows two-way communication to the reefer's controller.
Christian DeBlasio
Vice President of
Mr. DeBlasio joined the company in 2008, and brings over 20 years of senior maritime industry experience to the management team at Purfresh. Mr. DeBlasio first worked aboard commercial maritime vessels in 1992, and also graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Marine Sciences. While at Texas A&M, Mr. DeBlasio served as the Executive Officer of the Texas Maritime Academy, and received a US Merchant Marine deck officer license from the US Coast Guard.
Mr. DeBlasio has spent most of his career introducing and driving new technological advancements within the international maritime and intermodal transportation industries. Prior to joining Purfresh, Mr. DeBlasio served in key management positions at CP Ships, and Trinium Technologies while based in Montreal, London, Los Angeles, and Boston.
During his tenure at Purfresh, Mr. DeBlasio has managed the initial introduction, partnership, and use of the companys technology with over 20 of the worlds largest container shipping lines. He has also been instrumental in building Purfreshs international sales and operations agency network, which now covers over 100 ocean ports, in 50 countries around the globe.
Adam Valmoro
Vice President of
Currently leading Purfreshs business development and assisting clients in meeting their perishable transportation requirements, Adam is a professional with over 17 years experience, specializing in international intermodal operations, logistics, and cold chain transportation. Prior to joining Purfresh he held a variety of management positions within operations and client services, internal audit, and supply chain analytics with global ocean transportation companies such as American President Lines, Mediterranean Shipping Company, and Australia New Zealand Direct Line.
Adam holds a Bachelors Degree in Marine Affairs and Political Science from the University of Rhode Island, as well as accreditations from the University of California Irvine in Global Operations Management and Singapore Management University in International Business Management. Most recently Adam was asked to speak at UC Davis Emerging Postharvest Technologies Workshop.
