Brian Westcott, Ph.D.
President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Brian Westcott is president and chief executive officer of Purfresh. A results-oriented leader with more than 25 years of experience in operations, strategic management, and corporate development for both Fortune 500 and early stage companies, Dr. Westcott joined Purfresh to build upon the Company's leadership position and growth.

In academic and business circles alike, Dr. Westcott is a thought leader in strategic innovation. He has published and lectured in the areas of leadership, business policy, technology strategy, company change programs, product development, and operations management. His case studies on technology management are published through Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Before joining Purfresh, Dr. Westcott held management positions for JDS Uniphase, Inc., Inogen, Inc., AT Kearney, and General Electric, Inc. Dr. Westcott was the first Post Doctoral Fellow at Stanford's GSB, earned a Ph.D. in management science and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University, and holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University. Mr. Westcott was recognized as a Hero of U.S. Manufacturing by Fortune Magazine, and was the founder of Westt, Inc., ranked #34 fastest growing company in America by Inc. Magazine.

David Bouchard
General Manager

Mr. David Bouchard joined Purfresh in 2007 as General Manager. With 20 years of experience leading sales strategies for high-growth businesses, Mr. Bouchard specializes in building high-performance sales teams, strategic market positioning, and business development. In his previous senior positions in sales and business development, Mr. Bouchard led the development and implementation of direct and indirect multi-channel sales and alliance program strategies.

Before joining Purfresh, Mr. Bouchard held senior positions for Sierra Design Group, Powersoft, Silicon Energy, and Tivoli. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.

Claude-Nicolas Fiechter, Ph.D.
Vice President of Software Development
Dr. Fiechter is Vice President of Software Development for Purfresh. He joined the company in 2008, bringing more than 20 years of experience in software architecture and development. Dr. Fiechter specializes in developing enterprise-class SaaS applications, combining wireless communication, m2m technologies, and location-based services. He is an expert in machine learning, data mining, and combinatorial optimization.

Prior to joining Purfresh, Dr. Fiechter held key technical positions at Trimble Navigation, @Road, Inc., Bluewireless, Inc., and DaimlerChrysler Research. He holds a Ph.D. and a master's in computer science from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a bachelor's in computer science from the Swiss Technical Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland. Dr. Fiechter has lectured at both Stanford University and the University of Pittsburgh, has published numerous scientific papers, and co-authored several patents.

Joseph Hajost
Vice President of Global Field Operations
Mr. Joseph Hajost, Vice President of Global Field Operations, joined Purfresh in 2006, bringing more than 30 years of service, logistics, and sales experience to the company. Mr. Hajost specializes in developing and leading international service teams, managing worldwide sales channels, and introducing new technologies to a global audience. During his career, Mr. Hajost consistently grew revenue year-over-year, built highly successful worldwide service organizations, introduced new products, and has held multiple senior-level positions for high growth companies. 

Prior to Purfresh, Mr. Hajost served as an officer in the Army for 10 years, and held senior management positions for Applied Materials Inc., Lam Research, and Ultratech Stepper. He holds a master’s in information systems design from Cranfield Institute of Technology, Oxfordshire, and a bachelor’s in engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point.

Robert Hayes
Vice President of Engineering
Mr. Robert Hayes joined Purfresh in 2009 as Vice President of Engineering. With 25 years of engineering, operations and manufacturing experience, Mr. Hayes specializes in bringing new technologies to market with low cost, highly reliable products. While holding senior-level positions for both privately and publicly held companies, Mr. Hayes has build strong engineering teams for the development of hardware and software products for the medical and investor-owned utility industries.

Before Purfresh, Mr. Hayes held senior management positions for Chroma Medical Systems, CellNet Data Systems and Everex Systems. He holds a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Rice University.

Ram Prasad
Vice President of Operations & Finance
Mr. Ram Prasad is Vice President of Operations for Purfresh. Mr. Prasad joined the company in 2005 and brings to the company over 15 years of operations, manufacturing and quality experience. During his career, Mr. Prasad built strong manufacturing teams, managed operations and held numerous executive positions in emerging technology markets, including aerospace, petrochemical, semiconductor, and contract manufacturing.

Before joining Purfresh, Mr. Prasad held senior positions for Asyst Technologies, Inc., Amber Networks, Inc., and Applied Materials, Inc. Mr. Prasad holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from New Mexico State University, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Bangalore University, India.
